Junk Removal across Saginaw, Bay City, Midland and the Tri-Cities area

Junk removal is the other half of what we do. Instead of dropping a container and coming back in a week, a crew comes to your property, loads everything you want removed, cleans up the area and hauls it away. It suits the jobs where the problem is labor rather than volume: a couch, a mattress, a fridge, an estate cleanout or a rental turnover, a foreclosure or eviction cleanup, an office or retail cleanout, storm debris. We also take down small sheds, decks and fences and remove the debris, so you do not need a dumpster for that.

It matters here because the public options only go so far. City of Saginaw pickup takes carts, cans and bags of up to 50 pounds and up to two bulk items a week, and no construction debris; the City Convenience Station is for City residents, one visit a month on the second Saturday morning, and you load, drive and unload it yourself. The rule of thumb on the phone: if you are short on time, or it is heavy furniture, appliances or a garage full of clutter you want gone in one visit, call the crew. If it is a renovation, a big yard job or a decluttering project that will take days, a dumpster you fill at your own pace is usually the more affordable option. We run both, with bundled pricing when a larger project needs both.

At a glance

What you get with junk removal

  • A crew that does the loading, hauling, clean-up and disposal
  • One flat rate that includes labor, hauling and disposal
  • Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, household junk, renovation debris and office furniture
  • Light demolition of small sheds, decks and fences
  • Same-day service when available — call before noon
  • Items sorted for recycling or donation whenever possible

Cleanouts, turnovers and the one-off pile

Estate cleanouts, move-in and move-out junk, foreclosure and eviction cleanups and rental turnovers are the biggest category: the furniture nobody wants, the appliances, the garage, attic and basement full of boxes. Then the businesses — offices and retail stores, restaurants and hospitality, warehouses and storage facilities, property managers and HOAs — clearing cubicles, chairs, filing cabinets, old fixtures and renovation debris, with after-hours service if needed. And the one-off pile: the couch, the mattress, the branches and storm debris.

Two kinds of item need a word before we come. Fridges, freezers and AC units need their refrigerant removed by a certified technician before disposal, so tell us what the appliance is when you book; metal and appliances go for recycling whenever possible. Electronics — TVs, computers and office equipment — go through approved recycling programs. Michigan does not ban electronics from its landfills (its law is a manufacturer takeback program), but recycling is the better route, and it is how we handle them.

Junk removal or a dumpster — which is better?

A rough rule: if the job is small and you want it hauled in one quick visit, call the crew. Junk removal pricing is based on how much there is, what type of material it is and how accessible the items are, and because it includes labor it usually costs more per load than a dumpster; a few very heavy items can add up quickly. If it is a remodel, a yard, a job site or a multi-day cleanout, a dumpster is usually the better value, because you load it at your own pace and the price is based mainly on the container size and the rental period. We will say which on the phone. We do both, and you can mix them — a dumpster for the remodel and a crew for a few heavy items.

Junk removal — the local specifics

Most public programs stop short of a real cleanout. In Saginaw, City trash goes through the Mid Michigan Waste Authority, which allows up to two bulk items a week, and the City Convenience Station takes building materials, furniture, appliances and metal from City residents one visit a month, on the second Saturday morning — but no roofing shingles, and no paint or chemicals. Chesaning's village carts do not take construction debris, wood, sod or dirt, and the Village's contractor will not remove garbage from evictions, move-outs or clean-outs unless a special pickup is requested. Midland County residents can drop up to 3 cubic yards of household refuse or construction and demolition debris a month at the City of Midland Landfill at no charge; businesses are not eligible. Household hazardous waste — paint, solvents, pesticides, cleaners — goes to the Mid Michigan Waste Authority's free collection days for Saginaw County residents (April to September, by appointment, 989-781-9555), and Midland County residents have their own free collection days at the City of Midland Landfill, by appointment. Saginaw County residents can drop up to 10 car tires a year at the County Mosquito Abatement Commission, 705 N Towerline, from May to August. Junk removal is for the pile that cannot wait for any of that.

Answers

Junk Removal — your questions answered

How is junk removal priced?

By how much junk you have, what type of material it is and how accessible the items are. You get one flat rate that includes labor, hauling and disposal, with no surprises and no hidden charges. Describe the pile, or email a photo, and we will give you a price.

Do I need to be there?

For the first visit, usually — someone needs to point at what goes and what stays. The crew gives you a heads-up before arriving.

Can you take appliances?

Yes — refrigerators, washers, dryers and stoves included. Fridges, freezers and AC units need their refrigerant removed by a certified technician before disposal, so tell us what the appliance is when you book. Metal and appliances go for recycling whenever possible.

Can you take a mattress or a couch?

Yes. Couches, mattresses, tables and desks are some of the most common things we haul, on their own or with the rest of the load.

How fast can a crew come?

Same-day junk removal is available across Saginaw when scheduling allows. Call before noon and we will do everything possible to schedule your pickup that same day.
