We do not publish a price list, because the job decides the number. What we can show you is what goes into that number and what moves it, so the quote you get on the phone makes sense.

The cost of a dumpster rental depends on the dumpster size, the rental length, the type of debris and its weight and disposal requirements, and the delivery location, plus any swaps or additional bins. Our pricing is flat rate with no hidden fees, and you always receive one clear price before delivery.
We quote by phone rather than post a price list, because the things that decide the number, what is going in, how heavy it is and how far the truck runs, change from job to job. A 15 yard of carpet in Bridgeport and a 10 yard of broken patio in Hemlock are different jobs at the scale and on the road. Call (989) 930-1786 with the address and the material for a flat quote. We accept major credit cards, business checks and electronic payments, and invoices are available for contractors and repeat customers.
A flat-rate quote includes delivery and pickup, your rental period, and disposal fees within the weight limit. That is the whole job for most customers. The rest of this guide is about the few things that can change it, and how to keep them from changing it.
The biggest cost inside any flat rate is disposal. Michigan law says a hauler taking solid waste over a public road must deliver all of it to a licensed disposal area or a licensed or registered transfer facility (MCL 324.11527(1)), and EGLE notes that "a disposal facility is not required to accept everything the regulations allow". Different facilities take different materials, so the material decides the disposal cost. All waste from our dumpsters goes to licensed Mid Michigan recycling and disposal facilities, and we recycle concrete, wood and metal whenever possible to reduce landfill use.
Size and weight. Larger dumpsters generally cost more, and each size has a typical weight limit depending on the type of debris: 2–3 tons on a 10 yard, 2–3 on a 15, 3–4 on a 20, 4–5 on a 30 and 5–6 on a 40. Roofing shingles, concrete, brick, dirt and tile use it up fast, and going over the limit is one of the most common sources of surprise charges, so ask about the limit before you load and our team will help you stay within it.
Days. Standard rentals include several days, usually five to seven depending on the size, and your quote confirms the days. Need it longer? Call and extend your rental for a small daily fee. Finished early? Call or text and we will adjust your pickup whenever possible.
Distance. Delivery location is part of every quote. Our yard is on S Wheeler St inside the City of Saginaw, near M-46, and approx. road miles from it are: Saginaw city centre 4, Carrollton 6, Zilwaukee and Bridgeport 9, Freeland 12, Hemlock 13, St. Charles 16, Bay City and Reese 17, Merrill 18, Frankenmuth 19, Birch Run 20, Auburn and Essexville 21, Vassar 22, Midland 24 and Chesaning 27. Approximate figures, but they explain why the longer runs can cost a little more.
Extra service. Swaps of a full box for an empty one, additional bins and multiple dumpsters on a big project are all priced as part of the quote.
Michigan keeps a list of materials out of landfills (MCL 324.11514): used oil, lead-acid batteries, low-level radioactive waste, regulated hazardous waste, liquid waste or waste with free liquids, sewage and PCBs never go, and more than a small amount of beverage containers, whole tires or yard waste is not allowed either. Asbestos waste goes only to a landfill that meets the federal asbestos rules, and medical waste only if it is decontaminated or packaged as the law requires. A facility can refuse a load that breaks the rules, so a car battery, a can of old oil or a set of tires tossed in at the end can cost more than it is worth.
Keep these out, along with our own no list: paints, solvents and automotive fluids, batteries, propane tanks and fuel containers, tires, medical waste, asbestos and hazardous chemicals, and refrigerants. Electronics and refrigerator-type appliances are an ask-first item. The what-goes-in guide says where each one goes instead.
For a small job, a public drop-off or the curb may do. For anything bigger, the limits add up:
| Option | Published charge or limit | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| City of Saginaw curbside (through the Mid Michigan Waste Authority) | Cans up to 35 gallons and 50 pounds, no more than 20 bags a week (§ 50.05); up to two bulk items a week | No construction or demolition debris or material from contract work (§ 50.06) |
| City of Saginaw Convenience Station, behind Public Works, 1435 S Washington Ave | Second Saturday of each month, 8 a.m. to noon; one dumping a month | City residents only; no roofing debris or shingles; cement, block and brick kept separate; no paint or chemicals; loads tied down and tarped |
| City of Saginaw Compost Site, 2410 Veterans Memorial Pkwy | Yard waste or brush $17 per cubic yard (City fee schedule rev. 7/14/25) | Open April 1 to November 30 |
| City of Midland Landfill, 4311 E Ashman St | Demolition material $16 per cubic yard (from July 1, 2025); Midland County residents get one free load of up to 3 cubic yards a month per address | Only waste generated in Midland County is accepted; businesses are not eligible for the free load |
| Bay City Recycles Drop-Off Center and Transfer Station, 2900 N Water St | Building materials $40 or $50 per cubic yard, shingles $50 or $60 (fee schedule dated 7/30/2026; the lower rates for owner-occupied City homes) | By appointment with proof of residency; no waste from private haulers |
| City of Midland free 4-yard loaner container | Overnight, up to 4 reservations a year | Midland homes only; no masonry, soil, lumber, carpet, doors, windows or other building materials |
Every do-it-yourself trip is a secured load too: Michigan law says a load that is not completely enclosed must be covered with firmly secured canvas or similar, or securely fastened, and a violation is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $500 or 90 days in jail, or both (MCL 257.720). Add the drive, the gate days and the per-yard charges, and past a handful of trips one roll-off usually wins on money and on weekends.
None of these change our flat rate, but they can add to the cost of a job. A Saginaw street spot needs a written permit from the City Engineer, with a fee set by City Council and available from the Engineering Office that doubles if work starts without a permit (§ 96.004); check the City's current fee schedule for the figure. Frankenmuth (§§ 4.26, 4.3), Auburn (§§ 95.035, 95.003) and St. Charles (§ 32-28) want a cash deposit and insurance on top of a street permit. Bay City's Encroachment Permit covers placing a dumpster in the right-of-way, and Midland lists a General Right of Way permit. On a state highway there is no permit path at all.
Bigger jobs can carry state notices. Before a regulated demolition or renovation, EGLE needs notice through its MiEnviro Portal at least ten working days ahead; privately owned homes with four or fewer units are not covered by that federal asbestos rule unless they come down for urban renewal or as part of a public or commercial project. Removing more than 10 linear feet or 15 square feet of friable asbestos also needs MIOSHA notice 10 days ahead, with a one-percent project notification fee. Asbestos never goes in our roll-offs.
For anything beyond a couple of pickup loads, a container you load yourself is usually the better value, because you are paying for the box and the disposal rather than the labor. For a single couch or appliance, or a cleanout with nobody to lift, our junk removal service may suit you better: our crew loads everything, priced on how much junk you have, what type of material it is and how accessible it is, with one flat rate that includes labor, hauling and disposal. Need both? Ask about bundled pricing. The junk removal vs dumpster guide compares the two.
Call (989) 930-1786 — the phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer same-day and next-day delivery across Saginaw whenever possible, and if you call before noon we can often have a dumpster on site that afternoon.

We quote every job by phone, because the price depends on the dumpster size, the rental length, the type of debris, its weight and disposal requirements, and the delivery location. Our pricing is flat rate with no hidden fees, and you get one clear price before delivery.
Delivery and pickup, your rental period, and disposal fees within the weight limit. Going over the weight limit, keeping the box longer, or swaps and additional bins are what can add to it.
Yes. A container in a City street or right-of-way needs a written permit from the City Engineer, with a fee set by City Council and available from the Engineering Office, and the fee doubles if work starts without a permit. Check the City's current fee schedule for the figure.
Delivery location is part of the quote, so the longer runs can cost a little more: Midland is approx. 24 road miles from our yard and Chesaning approx. 27. Permit rules also change from town to town.
