Roll-off dumpster rental in Bridgeport

Approx. 9 road miles from the yard, around 14 minutes.

Bridgeport is approx. 9 road miles east-southeast of the yard, around 14 minutes — same-day or next-day options when available; call before noon and we can often deliver that same afternoon. It is a Census-designated community of 6,571 at the 2020 Census, inside Bridgeport Charter Township (10,104), Saginaw County — not a city.

Township homes are served through the Mid Michigan Waste Authority, but the Township's refuse excludes building materials and debris from construction (§ 24-20). The owner, contractor or occupant responsible for construction work must remove surplus material, refuse building material and construction refuse to an appropriate site (§ 24-27(b)). That's what a roll-off does.

Local knowledge

Getting our bearings in Bridgeport

Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.

  • Construction refuse — the owner, contractor or occupant removes it to an appropriate site (§ 24-27(b)); township refuse doesn't include it (§ 24-20).
  • Businesses contract privately — “It shall be the responsibility of all properties not regulated by this article to contract privately for waste collection” (§ 24-26(b)).
  • Demolitions — the Township's Demolition Requirements sheet says “Dump tickets and/or other evidence of proper disposal may be required,” and obstructed streets or sidewalks need approved barriers.
  • Chipping — every other Tuesday from the last Tuesday in April to the last Tuesday in October; call by noon Monday, 10 minutes per residence, and branches mixed with fence posts, wire or building material are refused.
  • MMWA — weekly trash, recycling every other week, yard waste April 8 to December 9 and two bulky items a week (2026 calendar).

What comes out of Bridgeport properties

Kitchen and bath remodels in 10s and 15s, roofing and whole-home clean-outs in 20s, construction in 30s, and demolition in 30s and 40s. Concrete and shingles go in separately to stay inside weight limits. Everything goes to licensed Mid Michigan recycling and disposal facilities — tell us when you book if the Township will want dump tickets for a demolition. Branches mixed with building material are refused by township chipping, so they go in the container.

Michigan law keeps these out of landfills (MCL 324.11514): used oil, lead-acid batteries, regulated hazardous waste, low-level radioactive waste, liquid waste and loads with free liquids, sewage, PCBs and medical waste; asbestos only goes to a landfill set up for it; and no more than a small amount of whole tires, used beverage containers or yard waste — leaves, grass, brush and trimmings under 4 feet long and 2 inches across (MCL 324.11506). Keep yard waste separate from construction debris and household trash and tell us when a load is yard waste. Fridges, freezers and air conditioners need the refrigerant removed by a certified technician first, EGLE says, so ask before loading one. No paint, solvents, automotive fluids, propane tanks, fuel containers, batteries, medical waste, asbestos or hazardous chemicals in our containers. Household chemicals aren't banned from landfills, but EGLE says they are not well suited for disposal there. Michigan has haulers remind customers every year what's banned (MCL 324.11527a) — our what can and can't go in a dumpster guide covers it. Saginaw County residents can book the Mid Michigan Waste Authority's free household hazardous waste program, which runs April through September by appointment; the County's Clean Sweep takes agricultural pesticides and mercury by appointment ((989) 758-3685); and the County Mosquito Abatement Commission takes residents' used tires, May through August, 10 per property a year, at 705 N Towerline, Saginaw.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Bridgeport

Who may haul: we found no township hauler licence. Homes are served through the Mid Michigan Waste Authority (§ 24-21, § 24-23); properties outside that system contract privately (§ 24-26(b)); and construction refuse is the owner's or contractor's to remove to an appropriate site (§ 24-27(b)). Vehicles collecting refuse must be watertight and covered (§ 24-25(a)). We're licensed and insured.

Placement: township roads are county roads under the Saginaw County Road Commission, and we found no township rule or dumpster permit for a container in the road; township zoning covers permanent trash enclosures only. A driveway is the simple spot. You do not need to be home as long as the spot is clear, our drivers use boards and careful placement to protect concrete and asphalt, and please don't move the container once it's down — call us and we'll move it.

Demolition paperwork: building demolition materials that state law sends to licensed disposal sites must go there, and the Township may ask for dump tickets or other evidence of proper disposal; any street or public sidewalk that will be obstructed needs approved barriers (Demolition Requirements sheet).

Parking: we found no township overnight or snow parking rule — the parking article is reserved. Driveway first all the same.

State highways: I-75 and US-23 run through Bridgeport. MDOT manages the state highway right-of-way, and we found no MDOT permit for setting a private container on it — so beside a state highway the container goes on private property, never in the right-of-way. We check the exact address.

Covered loads: Michigan bars driving a vehicle unless it is loaded so nothing can drop, sift, leak, blow off or escape, and open loads must be covered or secured (MCL 257.720). Keep debris level with or below the top rim — that's what makes the load safe to transport.

Remodel or tear-down: before a regulated demolition or renovation, EGLE wants notice through its MiEnviro Portal at least 10 working days ahead. Privately owned homes of four or fewer units aren't covered by the federal asbestos rule (NESHAP) unless they come down for urban renewal or as part of a public or commercial project; apartment buildings of five or more units are. Removing more than 10 linear feet or 15 square feet of friable asbestos also needs MIOSHA notice 10 days ahead, so asbestos rules may still apply to a house. Asbestos never goes in our containers; tell us if you find any.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Bridgeport

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. Step 1: Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask the address, what you are clearing — a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard, a job site — what you are tossing, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.

  2. Step 2: We size it and quote it flat

We recommend the right size, so you do not pay for more than you need or run out of space, and you get a flat-rate quote whenever possible that covers delivery, pickup, the rental period and disposal within the weight limit. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. Step 3: Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on a flat, solid surface rather than the lawn, with protection boards on request. Often same-day or next-day, when available. You do not need to be home if the area is clear.

  4. Step 4: Load it at your pace

Keep it level with or below the top rim and keep the problem items out — paint, solvents and other liquids, oil and fuel, chemicals, car batteries, tires, propane tanks and fuel containers, medical waste and asbestos. Electronics go to recycling instead. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.

  5. Step 5: We pick it up and handle the disposal

Call or text when it is full — in most cases we can collect your bin within 24 hours. The load is covered or tied down for the road and goes to a licensed Mid Michigan disposal or recycling facility, with concrete, wood and metal recycled whenever possible.
